Nico’s is my go-to restaurant for mexican food. I LOVE their tamales plate, nothing beats it. This place is underrated.
MoreExcellent service. good solid food. Would definitely hit it up again
Ohhhh the street tacos were perfect...exactly what this Texas girl needed... yummy#nicosrestaurant #streettacosforthewin
MoreI love this place. They have the best daily specials and everything on the menu is delicious. The portions are very filling, the service is extremely fast, the food is very well priced, and I know it's always cooked fresh. The employees are incredibly nice. If I'm nearby and hungry I always try to eat here.
MoreStandard Mexican food. The lady who works there is nice. The prices are fair. The food is pretty good. Nothing fantastic. It's close to work so we come every once in a while. It seems to be a catered more towards the non-native customer but not quite to the level of Cafe Rio.
MoreGreat chilie rellenos and salsa !!!
Good food Good service Good price It ain’t 5 star Michelin gourmet But who cares
MoreSuper friendly staff here. Food is made fresh and fast. I absolutely LOVE their house-made salsa. Tacos are awesome.
MoreI love this place. I always like trying new places to eat, especially Mexican food, but I keep going back to Nico’s. No reason to try and look for something better. I always feel like they treat me like a good friend. Love it!
MoreThis is authentic Mexican food. Every item on the menu is delicious. The place is a bit small but i don’t mind to be able to eat these delicious dishes. The service is amazing, I am sure this is the best place for authentic Mexican food we have in Utah. Try the barbacoa it is to die for!!!
MoreGood food. Small place but good food and quick.service. the daily lunch specials are great value
MoreLove this little spot good food for the price they rock
The best birria de borrego in the area, everything else is pretty standard. Friendly staff easy to find.
MoreReally great place! I only had their beef and pork tacos but they were awesome!
Excellent authentic Mexican food! Travelling thru and the area and staying at the koa next door. Easy to walk to.
MoreWe ate here while camping at the adjacent KOA campground and loved the food. We were greeted warmly as we walked in the door and had very prompt service. The food was excellent and prices fair. Highly recommend!
MoreBest mom and pop authentic Mexican restaurant I have found in Utah so far.
As great as any Mexican restaurant!!!Friendliest service, happily earnest to make quality experience...🎇🎇🎇🌼💐💝🌹💖🦋🌻🌃
MoreGreat food and service restaurant very clean and people friendly
We dropped in to wait for our flights out of salt lake city, everything that we had was amazing, staff was super friendly. Highly recommend the lamb soup and taco special if they have it.
MoreDisappointed. Hours listed online are incorrect, I drove quite a ways through the city to come here. It only takes two minutes to update your hours of operation.
MoreAmazing service and food.!! Highly recommend
Camerones Diabla was really good. The sauce was on point very flavorful and the service was excellent.
MoreA hidden little gem in Salt Lake, the food is amazing, will definitely come here again!
MoreFood so fresh it brings images of the California coast to mind. Fresh fish from a taco truck next to a beach with waves coming in come to mind. Highway PCH or US 101. I’ll be back.
MoreI was looking at the prices from outside and a customer jumped out to tell me that the restaurant was small but the food excellent. Our party of 12 French people indeed had an excellent meal. The service was efficient and friendly. We too recommend Nico's !
MoreWe love Mexican food. Tried lots of places but this restaurant is a favorite. I recommend sopes and shrimp tacos- incredible flavor. Haven’t been disappointed!
MoreI had the chili verde plate and the Tuesday plate special which consisted of a taco, red beef enchilada and of course rice and beans. My girl had the flautas. I personally thought the flautas tasted like something from Pancho's. Be she enjoyed them. My plates were spot on authentic flavors. Although I felt the tortillas were store bought. But that's not a unforgivable sin. All in all very good food, nice relaxing ambience, and very reasonable price's.
MoreFood was good. Not great but better than some Mexican restaurants. Server was nice but didn't speak English very well. I work go there again.
MoreCheap, easy, and delicious. Ordered too much, but that's hardly a complaint!
Chilaquiles were spicy as advertised. Prolly not the best choice when you have a six hour drive.lol
MoreAmazing Mexican comfort food. Chimichangas are my favorite. Free chips and delicious salsa as you wait for your food. Regular $1.50 tacos are delicious as well. Great affordable prices and friendly staff. Not everyone speaks good English but that's a good thing when it comes to the quality of the food. Small dining area inside but they have a nice outdoor patio area as well.
MoreVery good visiting from ohio very authentic..
It has good service
I recommend going to this restaurant. Nico's have great service, they have food done in the next 5 minutes of your order, and they especially have DELICIOUS choices on the menu! This is a good family place or if your on a date because they have tv, some food for both on the kid menu and normal menu, and most of the time silence. If u don't enjoy this restaurant's food atleast I think u are insane! I give this restaurant a 5 star rating! 100 percent
MoreGreat food and service. Salsa has just the right combination of kick and flavor.
This is the hole-in-the-wall restaurant you want to find!Small, but some of the best Mexican food I've had in years!Good service (with a smile) and good food! What more could you ask for!
MoreThis is one of these hole-in-the-wall places that make eating out so much fun. Great food, great service, great prices. This wasn't my first time at Nico's and it won't be my last.
MoreMost authentic Mexican i have had in years. In Salt Lake from Florida working I've made it a point to eat here every night they are open. GREAT FOOD!!10/10 will be back
MoreIt's by far the most authentic Mexican food I've been able to find in Utah. Our waitress was so nice and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. It's a small hole-in-the-wall and absolutely worth getting to to have.
MoreWe went here a few months ago pretty late but the hours on google are wrong so when we got there we realized they were closing within maybe 7 minutes so we decided we didn’t want to be those people and we started looking for a different place to eat. There was a lady standing by the door to block people from coming in and right at closing she made a hand signal to us saying to leave which we were never even planning to go in, I still found that extremely rude. A few weeks later I decided to give this place another chance so my coworker went to pick up some tacos from there. Literally the worst tacos I’ve ever had, the tortilla was soo hard and cold. My tacos completely fell apart before I could eat them.
MoreVery good service , I come all the way from West Jordan for the birria estilo Morelos is really good and is one of the best I have here in Utah........
MoreBefore today it had been quite a while since I had eaten lunch at Nico's. I'm happy to report that it is still wonderful. I look forward to lunch again there soon. I always get the daily lunch special.
MoreA cozy little place tucked away in a corner on the block. Serves a pretty good variety of deliciously prepared Mexican food. Everything was decently priced given the portions and the quiet atmosphere was conducive to having private conversations. Restroom, table service and specials, what more could one want?
MoreI got takeout for lunch and was a bit disappointed. The food took about 20 minutes. The meal was very small for almost $10. It tasted good, but how much did it cost for a full scoop of rice and beans? I got about 3 tablespoons of each. The enchiladas were to got when they placed them in the to-go styrofoam container and melted it into some of the food.I might try to go back for a door down meal, but that's only because I can complain to them if they don't get it right the first time.
MoreLove this place me and my boyfriend went and they have the best smothered burrito ever!!! the people who work are so nice!!!
MoreDelicious food! I got the habanero enchiladas and they were amazing! Ender was our server and was attentive and made sure everything was great. I'm unaccustomed to smaller locations having such amazing service, so that was a nice plus! I WILL definitely be back!
MoreThe service was good; the place is a bit small. The portion sizes where good. The guacamole not very tasty and meat (chicken and beef) was not seasoned well.
MoreThis is one of my favorite SLC Mexican food restaurants! Go on Thursday and get the lamb soup and tacos. Delicious!
